B. B. Comer Memorial Elementary School

B.B. Comer Memorial Elementary School serves approximately 650 students in grades kindergarten through six.  Located in southeast Talladega County, the school zone borders Coosa County, Clay County, and Sylacauga City school districts, and is easily accessible to Alabama highways 280 and 21. 


Beliefs

* Students' learning needs should be the major priority and focus of all decisions impacting the work of B.B. Comer Memorial Elementary School.

* The commitment to continuous improvement is imperative if our school is going to enable students to become confident, self-directed, life long learners.

* Students need to apply their learning in meaningful contexts by being actively engaged in the learning process.

* Students learn in different ways and should be provided with a variety of instructional approaches to support their learning.

* Students need to not only demonstrate their understanding of essential knowledge and skills but also need to be actively involved in solving problems and producing quality work.
